Structural steel, fabricated right —
on site or in factory.
Auckland's specialists in residential and light-commercial structural steel beam fabrication and earthquake strengthening. Mobile workshops that bring the factory to your site — or a modern Hobsonville facility built for precision.
A modern fabrication workshop with old-school certainty.
Black Steel Mobile Ltd has been operating for over 25 years as Auckland's trusted specialists in structural steel beam fabrication for residential buildings and earthquake strengthening projects. Purchased in 2020 by Managing Director Fatu Fuatavai — who holds university degrees in Science and Engineering and extensive experience in engineering and building industries — the company operates from a large, modern fabrication workshop in Hobsonville and deploys a fleet of fully self-contained mobile workshops across the Greater Auckland region.
SFC Level 3 Certified Fabricator status (the highest available under the SCNZ/HERA scheme) means certainty of product and significantly reduced compliance risk for procurers. All team members hold current Site Safe New Zealand passports. We're affiliated with SCNZ, HERA, the Sustainable Steel Council, and Amotai.
"Quality and good value are at the core of everything we do."
