/01 — Approach

Built
for the
Pour.

Black Steel Mobile has fabricated structural steel beams for Auckland's residential builds and earthquake strengthening projects for over 25 years. In 2020 Managing Director Fatu Fuatavai — BSc, BE — took the wheel, sharpening operations around a single principle: the steel that leaves a Black Steel job is right the first time.

We run a modern Hobsonville fabrication workshop and a fleet of fully self-contained mobile workshops that travel the Greater Auckland region. We carry SFC Level 3 — the highest tier in the SCNZ/HERA Structural Fabrication Certification scheme — which means measurable, audited certainty of product and significantly reduced compliance risk for procurers. Every team member holds a current Site Safe NZ passport. We are affiliated with SCNZ, HERA, the Sustainable Steel Council and Amotai.

/A
Save Time

Steel is cut on-site and installed immediately. Accurate fit, immediate install.

/B
Save Money

Contractors don't wait around for a truck and crane to arrive with pre-fab.

/C
Save Hassle

No off-spec components arriving on site. The steel that turns up fits.
